Mary, Director of Foodchem Customer Service Center, Joins Fudan Xinran Foundation’s Charity Trip to Anqing

On August 27, 2025, a delegation of 30 members from the Fudan Xinran Foundation journeyed to Qingcao Town, Tongcheng City, Anqing, Anhui Province, where they successfully held a warm and meaningful charity donation event. Chen Youmei, an outstanding employee from our company’s customer service center and vice president of the foundation, actively participated in and helped organize the event. Together with the “Xinran Sisters” and 11 young volunteers, she brought summer comfort and sincere care to local teachers and students.

The centerpiece of the event was the unveiling of the 51st “Container of Glory” at Qingcao Town Central Primary School. This unique charity project creatively transforms shipping containers into multi-functional learning and activity spaces for rural schools with relatively limited educational resources. The new space serves as a bridge, connecting urban resources with rural aspirations, opening a window to a broader world for the children and planting the seeds of love in their hearts.

Notably, this charity trip focused not only on the children’s development environment but also showed deep concern for the backbone of rural education—the teachers. The foundation firmly believes that “by supporting teachers, we can better educate more children!” During the event, volunteers held in-depth conversations with the school’s educators, attentively listening to their experiences and needs in teaching and daily life. They expressed their highest respect and heartfelt gratitude to these dedicated teachers who have long persevered on the educational frontlines, working tirelessly and often without recognition. This special attention to teachers reflects the foundation’s profound understanding and holistic support for the educational ecosystem.

Mary shared during the activity: “Joining the Fudan Xinran Foundation on this rural charity trip has been truly meaningful. It was not only an act of sharing love but also a vivid lesson that allowed our next generation to personally experience the value of sharing and dedication. Despite the blazing sun and intense heat, the volunteers’ enthusiasm never waned. Everyone worked together to set up the new space, played interactive games with the children, and filled the venue with laughter and joy. These “small acts of love” from the big city gathered into a powerful force that warmed every heart.
